First Edits - experimental images (part of 1st set)

Here are 2 images I have edited on Photoshop. Although they are not specifically of dancers dancing, they still link in with my theme of dance as they are Pointe shoes.

As you can see I made this image black and white apart from the purple canvas. I decided to do this because I wanted the slogan "Keep calm and dance on" to stand out on the bright purple background. when you first look at the image, you look at the canvas because our eyes immediately draw to the brightest things within a picture, from this you then look at the pointe shoes next to he canvas and it is very clear hat the theme of this image is dance.

Again in this image I have featured my Pointe shoes but this time I have hung hem off the end off a bed. I decided to hang them off the bed post to emphasise the beauty of the shoes as we can see them in the upright position they would be when a girl is dancing on Pointe. I feel it also makes us focus at the shoes more because if they had just been thrown on the floor they wouldn't look as interesting and also like they're looked after properly. As you can see I used rule of thirds in this image as it allows us to see more of the background, although we still mainly focus on the shoes on the right side.
